Larisa Florea is Associate Professor in the Trinity College Dublin School of Chemistry and an AMBER researchers. She has over 10 years of experience in polymer chemistry and sensing technologies and she is a recognised leader in the field of responsive polymers. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including an ERC Starting Grant (2018) and a Science Foundation Ireland – Frontiers for the Future (2024) award. In 2023 she was the only European recipient of an Intel® Rising Star Award that recognises early-career academic researchers from across the world who are doing exceptional work and lead advancements in research that demonstrate the potential to disrupt the industry.
